Our Programmes

  • Women in Technology is an initiative to grow the careers of women who are invested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics domain from across our region.
  • Started in 2011, WIT has grown to be the voice of women all over the world and especially emerging markets to grow and create opportunities.
  • Key leaders in science and technology will be honored at the 1st Annual WIT Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on 15 January 2014 in conjunction with WIT’s Annual Women Technology Summit in Dubai.
  • The WIT Hall of Fame is being established to recognize, honor, and promote the outstanding contributions women make to the scientific and technological communities that improve and evolve our society.

Guidelines for speakers

- Speaking slots vary between 5 min and 25 min, but however long or short the slot, it is best to keep the messages focussed and built around your personal experiences

- Attendees are likely to carry away learning from other peer experiences rather than generalisations

- Along with UAE, attendees are coming from rest of GCC, parts of Middle East and parts of Africa, hence it is advised to keep the appeal of the content broad based

- Please reserve 5 minutes at the end of the session for questions that can continue during one to one networking

- Display your email address at the end of the presentation for attendee follow ups

- Kindly arrange to send us your presentations, in case you are preparing one, no later than 13 January for sequential line up and testing at our end

- Presentations are not compulsory and this depends on the individual speaker’s approach to address the audience

- On the day of the event, please identify yourself as a WIT speaker at the registration desk, at least one hour before the speaking slot, and kindly seat yourself at the designated area for easy internal event coordination
