Aileen Nandi

Commercial Officer

US Trade Department

Ms. Aileen Crowe Nandi arrived in California in August 2011 for a domestic stint with the San Jose (Silicon Valley) Export Assistance Center.
Following her five years in India, she assists U.S. companies to enter the Indian market and focuses on the cloud computing, IT security and consumer electronics industries worldwide. Her most recent assignment was Chennai, India, where she served from 2008-2011. As Principal Commercial Officer for four states in South India, Ms. Nandi managed three U.S. Commercial Service (CS) offices (Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) and coordinated with Colombo, Sri Lanka, a partnership post. Working with her team of 13 colleagues throughout South India, Ms. Nandi advocated for U.S.

Trish Tierney

International Education, Techwomen Prog (United States State Dept Prog for MEA).

Trish oversees the office's strategy, operations, business development and program teams managing initiatives including the International Visitor Leadership Program, Fulbright Foreign Student Program, and several global corporate and foundation scholarship and development programs.
She also directs IIE’s Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives, which includes innovative programs linking the power of women and the power of technology, and leverages public-private partnerships with the U.S.
Department of State and technology companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to IIE, Trish worked for Cisco Systems and the World Bank. She began her career as a volunteer teacher in Namibia with WorldTeach.

Heather Ramsey

Heather Ramsey is Senior Director of Strategic Partner at the Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives at the Institute of International Education in San Francisco. Heather has initiated and managed international training programs for 18 years with a strong focus on NGO capacity building, social enterprise development, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, social media and technology in emerging markets and developing countries. These programs include E-Mediat: Tools, Technology and Training, TechWomen, Women’s Enterprise for Sustainability and Women in Technology MENA. Heather also led a USAID-funded WIT pilot program, managed corporate scholarships, teacher exchange programs and study abroad scholarships and supported foreign Fulbright Students.

She brings with her over 20 years of technology and business experience across multiple disciplines and industries globally. Throughout her career, Melvina has worked with C-level executives to leverage information and communications technology (ICT) to solve business challenges and deliver quantifiable ROI. She successfully led multiple IT and consulting organizations across diverse geographies. Prior to joining SAP, Melvina held the position of Chief Information Officer at Majid Al Futtaim Group.

Sherifa A Hady

Sherifa A. Hady is the EG Distribution Sales Manager for the MEMA region from February this year. Before that she took on the role of Channel Manager for the printing group of HP English Africa for the past 3 years. As of August her responsibilities also included managing the personal systems group as well, in line with the new PPS organization.
Throughout her 13 years at HP she has held many roles specifically in sales and marketing in the Middle East region .Up until November 2008 she managed the Consumer Business Unit in the Middle East and had previously been primarily responsible for all marketing and communications operations for the Imaging and Printing Group.

Haritha Ramachandran

A Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar, Haritha Ramachandran joined Frost & Sullivan in 2004. With industry knowledge on the ICT sector coupled with extensive experience with global teams and international clients, Haritha, drives the research and project execution of the ICT Middle and North Africa Team.
To date, she has focused specifically on creating marketing and corporate strategies surrounding the issues of market entry, product diversification, organisational restructuring, geographic expansion for telecom companies, telecom equipment vendors and software solution providers in the region. Haritha is currently working with the Qatar government to help stream line their ICT research objectives to meet their National ICT Plan 2015.


Birgitta Oltersdorf

Birgitta Oltersdorf is an IBM GBS Partner Executive, based in Dubai, UAE. She is the Consulting Services leader of the Gulf, Levant and Pakistan region. Birgitta is of both Swedish and German nationality and has studied International Business and Industrial Engineering in Germany, Sweden and in the United States of America. After her studies, she joined ABB Power Systems as a Controller in Sweden. In 1996, she started her consulting career in Germany, was located also for a few years in Switzerland and has been based in the Gulf region since 2011.
She has been working on consulting assignments focusing on transformation projects with business process reengineering and systems integration aspects.
